Spring 2021 Garden Baskets
Join notification list for spring basketsWe are handling our spring garden shares differently in 2021. The spring is a challenging time to grow with so many of the variables completely out of our control (floods polar vortexs, and who know what next year). Rather than set a predetermined date range and cost as we did in 2020, we will offer our spring baskets on a week by week basis. When we have enough to put togather a basket, we will notify all who join our spring notification list of their pending availability and then you can reserve your spring baskets week by week on a first come first serve basis through this website. Pick-ups for our spring shares will be at Indian Creek Orchard Gardens on Thursdays from 3pm – 7pm.
We overwinter spring greens like spinach, arugula, and mizuna in our greenhouses. These are typically ready in late March or early April. We get an early start on lettuce, mustard greens and spring roots as well. These are often ready in late April or early May. In late May and early June many of our greenhouse crops like cucumbers and tomatoes are ready, often the first wave of peppers as well.
Winter 2021 Garden Share
Fully booked
This share type is completely unique. Each year when we get to the end of the season we typically have hundreds and hundreds of pounds of surplus produce. We plant more than we need, rather than run the risk of not having enough! After the Autumn share, we will divide all of our surplus by the number of shareholders who qualify for our winter share. Most likely this will amount to a large bag or box of storage veggies, winter squash, roots, onions, garlic + whatever else remains, likely some brassicas too.
Winter share pick-up is at the farm on October 30, 2021.
